1936 Cape-Jacket pattern in 96 cm/ 37.8" bust
A jacket-cape pattern from 1936. A short jacket with a hip-length
over-cape, which is attached at the shoulder seam and the top of the
armholes. The original publication suggested a variation in styling;
make the cape in fur and the jacket underneath in a lighter wool. The
jacket is quite fitted and features front buttons, a V-shaped hemline
and it is drawn-into the waist with a purchased belt. Underneath the
cape, the jacket's armholes are finished with facings or a lining.
