1934 Men's Trachten jacket. Chest 104 cm (41"). PDF

This short men's jacket pattern, which formed part of a casual weekend or walking outfit, was featured in pattern magazines from the late 1920s to the mid-1930s. At the time, it was a more modern and less embellished version of the traditional German 'Trachten' jackets of earlier years. The single-breasted jacket features a notched collar, short lapels and four front welt pockets. The sides of the jacket are shaped into the back waist with adjustable fabric belts, and the ends of the two-piece sleeves have buttons. The front hemline is shaped to a lower point at the centre front.
