1934 Men's Trachen jacket. Chest 104 cm (41")

This short men's jacket, which was designed to be worn as part of a casual weekend or walking outfit, was featured in pattern magazines from the late 1920s to the mid-1930s. At the time, it was a more modern, less embellished version of traditional German 'trachten' jackets from earlier years. This single-breasted jacket has a notched collar, short lapels, and four front welt pockets. The jacket is shaped at the back waist with adjustable fabric belts and has buttoned ends on the two-piece sleeves. The front hemline is cut lower at the centre front.
