1931 Housecoat. Chest 112 cm (44"). PDF pattern

This pattern is an authentic early 1930s men's housecoat, featuring a shawl collar. The front includes inside pockets, and the sleeves are finished with turned-back cuffs. The coat can be closed with decorative corded fastenings, as shown in the 1931 illustration. Alternatively, you may choose to make a fabric belt to tie in a simple knot at the front. For fabric selection, consider printed silk, medium-weight jacquard, light wool, or satin. Adding a contrasting shawl collar can further elevate the sophistication of the garment.
