1930s Men's shirt. Neck 45 cm (17.7"). PDF

This is a sewing pattern for a men's business shirt from the 1930s. The front of the shirt is cut as one piece, with the placket folded and stitched to create the buttoned opening along the centre line. This creates a small pleat below the buttons, meaning the two sides of the front are not separate, as they are in more 'modern' shirts. The collar is stitched to a collar stand, i.e. it is not separate or buttoned on. The finished length of the back of the shirt-tail is approximately 75–85 cm.
