1940 Coat. Bust 96 cm (38"). PDF pattern.
A sewing pattern for a mid-length 1940s coat with a short cape. It is perfect for summer if it is made in a lightweight wool or linen. This collarless coat fastens at the centre front and the edges tie together with a small bow at the waist. The front and back darts shape the waist nicely. The coat is sleeveless and has a short cape that joins onto the top of the shoulder and armhole. The top of the cape is pleated or gathered at the shoulders. The pattern includes separate pieces for the front lining and the armhole facings.
