1941 Swing coat. Busts 88 or 96 cm (34.6" or 37.8")

This is a vintage trapeze coat sewing pattern. This mid-length coat has a classic 1940s style with wide shoulders and an A-line shape. The yokes, front button stand and centre back are made from a contrasting fabric. To achieve a different look, try reversing the colour blocking — select a plain fabric for the main body of the coat and a plaid for the yokes and trim. Include shoulder pads to achieve the true 1940s square shoulder line, whatever your chosen style.
