1936 Dress pattern in 96 cm/ 37.8" bust
A mid 1930s long sleeved dress with belt. The skirt of this dress features a centre pleat at the front and a short slit at the back hemline. The dress is strongly defined by the lines of stitching that decorate the front bodice neckline and the ends of the sleeves. These design lines continue on the back of the bodice, underneath the seam for the raglan sleeve. These lines can be sewn as very small tucks, or alternatively, embellished with soutache threads, perhaps in a contrasting colour.
