1941 Dress 108 cm (42.5") bust. PDF pattern.

1940s afternoon dress pattern. The bodice features a V-neckline at the front and gathers at the shoulders and over the bust. The fitted, raised waist joins an A-line skirt with two pleats at the front. The back of the dress is cut in one piece with no waist seam. The three-quarter-length sleeves have slightly flared sleeve heads that taper towards the lower arm. The original sketches show the dress made in two very different fabrics, demonstrating the versatility of the design depending on how the outfit is styled. One sketch depicts a casual beach setting and the other shows the dress being worn in town with a smart hat and shoes.
