1941 Coat 88 cm (34.6") bust. PDF pattern.
This is a 1940s coat pattern. This coat is perfect for the changing seasons. Made from linen or a similar light fabric, it will be an elegant option for cooler summer days. The design is quite different for the era — it certainly grabs attention!
This knee-length coat opens at the centre front with no overlap, and features a button and loop closure at the waist. The lower panels of the coat are cut in a slight A-line and flare gently. At first glance, the coat appears to have kimono sleeves, but they are actually wide, dropped sleeves that join at the mid-section and taper elegantly to the wrist. This design dates from the summer of 1941 and is best suited to lightweight coat fabrics.
