1941 Dress. Bust 88 cm (34.6")
This is a 1940s dress pattern. This pretty summer dress has a front yoke and a gathered bodice with darts to shape the waist. The neckline sits high on the neck. The skirt is almost half-circular with plenty of flare. The short, puffed sleeves taper towards the cuff and feature two small pleats at the lower edge. The bodice fastens with buttons at the centre back and a zip in the left side seam. Suitable fabrics would include lightweight cotton, linen, rayon or viscose – the skirt would look beautiful in any of these.
