1939 Swing Coat. Bust 88 cm (34.6"). PDF pattern.
Also available as a printed PAPER pattern
This is a short swing-back coat from 1939. A very smart, loose-fitting jacket made from checked wool. It has front and back yokes that incorporate cut-on sleeves. One of this coat's great design features is the two back pleats that provide extra volume, ensuring the back swings nicely. The original sketch accentuated the top part of the coat by placing the yoke sleeve on the bias check. The practical front welt pockets make this a really smart and versatile jacket for autumn, spring and winter.
