1933 Art Deco coat. Bust 96 cm (37.8"). PDF pattern.
Also available as a printed PAPER pattern
This long coat features a striking Art Deco style, with prominent design lines on the front that continue around the sides and over the right hip. These lines are created by small, stitched tucks. The coat has narrow kimono-style sleeves that taper gracefully to the wrists. While the original was made in white linen, it can also be crafted from a range of heavier fabrics. Alternatively, the curved sections may be separated and pieced, with the design lines highlighted by contrasting textures and fabrics. The decorative curves can also be emphasized with piping or bold stitching to enhance their visibility.
