1941 Swing coat. Bust 100 cm (39.4")
Also available as a PDF pattern
This is a swing-back (or trapeze) coat pattern from the early 1940s. The back of this design has an elegant swing due to an insert panel that is cut on the bias that hangs from the back yoke. The garment has a collarless neckline, and the front edges meet at the centre front (there is no overlap) and it can be fastened with a decorative brooch. Alternatively, you could add a button and loop. The sleeve head has three pleats to create a dominant 1940s shoulder line.
Available in one original size.
