1948 Dress 96 cm (37.8") bust

A 1948 dress with a wide, yet soft dropped shoulder-line. The neckline opens at the front and supports a high shaped collar, which has a centre back seam.
The fitted waist is shaped to be higher at the front than at the back. The top of the side-skirt slants down towards the back and features two ornamental buttons at the front. The seams joining the main skirt sections are top-stitched for extra effect.
The back view shows that the centre back is quite fitted and the back skirt is cut on the cross-grain.
The sleeves are slim fitting and have a narrow turned back cuff at the wrist.
