This is a completely practical 1940s jacket with stylish details! This jacket pattern is accompanied by original photos of the real jacket, rather than just line drawings, so you can clearly see the design. It has a yoke and buttons at the front, as well as practical patch pockets, and it is tied at the waist with a fabric belt. The back view shows that it has a generous fit with two box pleats. This is a jacket for getting things done in, whether that's walking or moving about.  It is designed for comfort, yet has many eye-catching details, such as the curved line on the top of the pockets and the top-stitching.
