1941 Dress. Bust 96 cm (37.8")
Also available as a PDF pattern
Here's a day dress pattern from 1941 — something a little more special! This elegant design features an asymmetrical high neckline with shirring and gathers that cross diagonally across the bodice. Long sashes/ties attached to the mid-section shape and define the waist, and tie together with a large, loose bow on the left. The flared skirt has three gores which flare out on the left side beneath the bow, and the short sleeves are slightly puffed at the sleeve head, which does not detract from the dress's other dominant features. In the original sketch, the dress is styled with a classic, high, round hat.
