1936 Gown. Bust 108 cm (42.5")
Also available as a PDF pattern
1930s long gown pattern. The front of the skirt is slim-fitting and cut on the bias, while the back is cut on the straight grain and flares out elegantly at the hem. The bodice has cut-on sleeves that resemble raglan sleeves. The centre fronts of the bodice are gathered together at the bust and attach to the front skirt along a shaped midriff that hugs the waist. The ends of the soft, voluminous sleeves gather into a simple band at the wrist. The centre back of the gown has a closure that could be buttons or a zip. This design could also be made into a lovely shorter-length day dress.
