A mid-1930s afternoon blouse.
The front of the blouse has a decorative curved seam at the waistline. The neckline opens at the front with a keyhole slit, and it can be fastened with a small button. In the original sketch, the collar and the flared-ends of the long sleeves are cut from lace, but contrasting fabrics would also look elegant. The blouse is worn with a fabric belt, which is joined together at the front with a decorative clasp.
